The Waratah, the flower of New South wales.
This is a magnificent flower and is very hardy. After a bush fire they quickly show there beautiful foliage, a red light in the burnt forests. They are a very resilient as a cut flower and they hold their stature for nearly 10 days in a vase. There are plenty of these flowers in the bush in the Spring Time and our Blue Mountains Tour will find some for you to photograph. After a bush fire they are very prolific growing plants and often in a sea of blackened trees there are these beautiful flowers glowing in the forest.
