Canberra, Australia’s capital with a population of 325,000, is 300kms south of Sydney. It is a spacious city with numerous gardens, public areas, malls and shopping precincts. It includes many fine buildings of contemporary architecture including Parliament House. En route you can stretch your legs on a morning break near the quaint town of Berrima.
Join a private guided tour of the National Museum of Australia and discover Canberra’s salute to all that is Australian, from our diverse cultural mix to current icons such as the famous Hills Hoist Clothes Line.
Included is a private guided tour of Parliament House with the opportunity to view the upper or lower Houses of Parliament (when in session).
See “The Lodge”, the Prime Minister’s residence and travel the pretty tree-lined streets and view diplomatic homes and embassies of many foreign ambassadors, reflecting their fascinating cultures and architecture.
See the Captain Cook Memorial Fountain, the National Library and the High-Court, view Carillons beautiful bell tower and the gardens of Commonwealth Park. Hear the history of the ANZAC as we travel along the boulevard dedicated to the participants of two world wars and visit the Australian War Memorial, home to a fascinating display of war history and artifacts. The Lancaster Bomber Sound and Light Show is a must.
Travel to the summit of Mt Ainslie for a commanding view of the expanse of Australia’s Capital City.
