FULL TOUR DETAILS
Short Tour around the Rocks
After our easy early morning pick up this Small Group Tour of the Blue Mountain starts at 7.30am. We commence with a short 20 minute tour through The Rocks area, home to many fine old buildings and pubs from yesteryear. We travel under the arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Walsh Bay and around to Millers Point with numerous old terrace houses before leaving the city.
Featherdale Wildlife Park
We depart over the Harbour Bridge with our first stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park for an early arrival and private entrance at 8.30am (normal open time 9.00am). You will have the Park virtually the only visitors here at this time, all alone with native Australian animals having "breakfast". You can feed the kangaroos and wallabies, cuddle up close to a koala, and enjoy the wombats, Tasmanian Devils and more. Why not get "up close and personal" with the crocodile or view the extensive collection including of Australian bird life.
Kings Tableland, Gordon Falls and Wentworth Falls
These are perhaps the best viewing areas to the Jamison Valley. Fantastic locations with expansive views over the wilderness of the Blue Mountains. These location includes areas of those traditional Aboriginal tribal groups. You will see rock markings and spear sharpening grooves on the sandstone rock which was a meeting place for the. A rock shelter on Kings Tableland scientifically dates Aboriginal prehistoric occupation back 22,000 years.
A Restaurant Lunch is Optional at $20 per person ($12 per child)
An optional Lunch is at the Wentworth Falls Country Club where you will enjoy an expansive two course lunch. There are relaxing views down over the fairways which the local kangaroos have made their home. Have a glass of wine or sit back and enjoy the intimacy of a small group tour. For those wishing to do your own lunch at the nearby village of Leura will be dropped off and picked up one hour later. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and food shops in Leura with many choices
Scenic World, the Scenic Railway and Cable Cars
This whole complex is fantastic and extremely popular. This is the busiest location in the mountains. Your experienced tour guide will discuss the various rides with your small group tour. There is plenty of time to do all three rides if you like or you may prefer a combination of rides and a walk. Rides cost $10 each in each direction. A return ride on the train/cable car is $19 and if you wish to do all 3 rides there is a special price of $25 pp. Children $6/$10/$15. See more below.
There are Scenic World 3 rides to choose from:

- Skyway Cable Car "the yellow peril" which crosses the Katoomba Falls Valley.
- Flyway Cable Car descends from the top of the cliff down into the Jamison Valley near the old coal mine.
- Speak to the guide who will be able to give you all the ride details, prices and options.

Your complete Small Group Tour package includes one of the rides of your choice. If you wish to do all three rides the guide will arrange it for you. You can easily upgrade on the day also upgrade on the day to include the extra rides.
Three Sisters Rock Formation at Echo Point
This icon is one of the most photographed icons in Australia after being formed by erosion over 100 million yrs. There is an excellent viewing area and there care short walks down and around this attraction. We have plenty of time here and we can join in some wine tasting of local wines at the Heritage Centre.

Olympic Park, Ferry Wharf & Rivercat Ferry
Around 3.30pm we return down from the mountains to the Parramatta River Wharf of Homebush Bay part of the Sydney 2000 Olympics site. You will find it most interesting to see what has happened since 2000. It is far from deserted or neglected, in fact far from it. With good forward planning this location is thriving with a large increase in housing, business, office accommodation, hotels and sporting activities.
At Homebush Bay you board a River Cat Ferry Cruise for a 35 minute river high speed cruise down the river passing numerous land marks and vast property developments to enter the magnificent Sydney Harbour where you pass under the towering Harbour Bridge, past the Opera House and disembark at Circular Quay where your tour concludes at 5.45pm. You can take in the sights of Circular Quay before making your way back to your place of accommodation

Hi, just a little note to say that we enjoyed our tour to both the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley on 6 and 7 Oct 08 respectively were very good! And Nigel, our tour guide, was simply excellent - he planned the trips very well and everything just fell into place for us! The views at Blue Mountains were simply awesome. We also enjoyed both the lunches; they were yummy! We were glad that we joined your tour and it would really value for money for us! And Nigel, yes, you are No. 1 - simply the best! With warm regards
Cheers, and thank you,
Helen & Mark from Singapore Oct 2008
Hi Just wanted to e-mail you to say we've just returned from a great holiday in Australia, but wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our day trips to the Hunter Valley last Tuesday (with Daniel) and the Blue Mountains on Friday (with Nigel). They both made the days go well, and helped to make our second visit to Oz really special. Please pass our thanks on to them.
Thank you,
The Brunskill family

Geoffrey, The tour was wonderful and was certainly a highlight of our trip. Our tour guide Daniel was excellent and we really can't express to you how pleased we were with him. He went above and beyond and he even found a place for us to have mass in the forest. He did a wonderful job. The highlights of the tour were definitely the Featherdale wildlife park and the natural beauty of the Jamison valley. Thanks so much for the great time, it made our trip all the more memorable! Thanks! August 2008

We are finally home and I wanted to send an email to let you all know how much we enjoyed our Blue Mountain Tour. Lucky for us we had perfect weather. Nigel did a great job showing us around. I enjoyed that he was able to take us on some good hikes. We enjoyed getting away from the other tour buses. The mountains were beautiful. We enjoyed the cable car rides and the railway ride up the mountain. Our lunch at the Country Club was good and came at the right time for a break. Thanks again to Nigel and Sydney Wilderness tours for making this tour so memorable.
